I recently went to MEPS and everything was fine but they told me I need a waiver for my shellfish allergy. They told me they routed it to the surgeon General and would tell me in 1 to 2 weeks if I got approved. My last reaction was when I was 4 with swollen lips and eyes with a cough.

Rhyse Attard No one on RallyPoint can tell you what your chances are of having a Waiver approved. Here is a previous post with information.

What is the possibility of getting a food allergy medical waiver from the USAF? | RallyPoint
Hey Yall, I've recently been DQ'd for my seafood allergies by the Chief Medical Officer at our local MEPs and was just wondering if I could potentially appeal this claim through either passing an oral food challenge by a board-certified allergist and then sending the results and applying for a medical waiver to the surgeon general? Any response would be greatly appreciated!

Did you ever get approved? I want to join the AF at the end of the year, but have a fish allergy. Not shellfish, just fish.
