What are the COVID restrictions like at Camp Arifjan? I hope there aren't any given that Kuwait as a host country requires the vaccine. Are the gyms at least open again? Is there anything I might want to bring when I mobilize there? I know someone who had to make shift a gym set up at the height of COVID. Any other advice?

When I left there 6 months ago, they were reactivating the wearing of masks inside all buildings and facilities. This included DFACs, Gyms, PX, etc. The Gym in Zone 6 had reactivated their limited capacity plan. Their plan was thus: Only a set amount of people were allowed in for a time block. The lines formed outside of the gym with one line being those that reserved a slot and those that hope to be a walk on. All the reserved slots were allowed in first, then the walk ons. And this was the process for every hour block. Well, every 50 minute block because the last 10 minutes of each block was for patrons to clean before exiting.
What had happened was that the numbers for COVID were going down, so they started easing the restrictions. Well, that lasted all of about 1.5 months when the numbers took a drastic uptick.
Regardless, you will get the most up to date intel on this when you get to MOB station.

Currently here in transit now and I’m not actually sure what the policy is. All the workers wear masks but nobody else wears a mask and nobody enforces them wear of a mask either. Also, zone 6 gym is open 24/7 no appointments needed like before

As far as im aware, they still require a 14 day ROM upon arrival regardless of vaccination status. The gyms are open, but you are required to wear a mask when not actively exercising. Bring a gaming setup if you want, you will be able to find a relatively cheap tv to use on the facebook marketplace. If able, find a privacy tent as the living areas are big bays and theres no real privacy. You may want to invest in a power inverter and start researching what the best wife puck and sim card for your needs will be.
