What are the odds of reenlisting and reclassifying to 68X after being out of the Reserves for 8 years?

Yes and no I began working with a national guard recruiter but I just decided it would be better for me to go active instead so I’m waiting on a recruiter to get back with me. I haven’t been to Meps or anything yet so I hope it’s ok for me to make the switch. The NG recruiter said he didn’t have any 68X slots for E4 so I figured I’d run into that same problem with active.

Sometimes these choices come down to what is most important in life. If you’re wanting to go active because of the benefits and stability, don’t worry as much about the job. If you want that job though because that’s your dream career field, go to college and focus on that. Everyone’s situation is different. SPC Jessica Givens

Thanks for the heads up do they have you training with new recruits ,prior enlisted ,or both?

SPC Jessica Givens right now I’m with new recruits. Though there is only 5 of us prior service in the whole company. Now in reception is a different story. There was 220 prior service in HHC and we were separated. I’ve heard after red phase we will get separated, but I’m stuck in covid isolation at the moment and can’t verify that
