What are you doing to prepare for the GI Bill changes?

Not sure why Congress did not allow all Veterans to transfer instead of those who retired after 2009! I have no time for college and will soon lose all because of the 15 year limit after retirement! I asked my Congressman from Florida and he kept saying Congress will fix it!

If I was serving I'd take the advice and transfer now if possible, while the bill is still proposed. I'd also make sure to read all the fine print; we've seen two cases where remaining time in service requirements were not met and the VA pulled eligibility for dependents.

I'm trying to use the GI Bill as much as possible so I'm not scrounging for ways to exhaust it near expiration.
