Not a big Fan of Hood. Location to DFW, Austin, Houston and San Antonio were its only plus. Every where else ( Sill , Bragg, Casey, Stanley) and others I've been happy with.

I was there tdy qualififying Navy Ships, got stuck walking guard duty with an axe handle because of gauchos who steal. Nice beaches though. Roosevelt Roads no real clue the highlight was getting stinky drunk with a few Brit Navy guys who's Frigates were in port.

Ft. Lost in the woods Missouri and Ft. Sill Oklahoma were my introduction to the military. Both made me question my decision to join the army.
