Each duty station is what you make of it. I knew many people at Ramstein AB that said they hated it there. When I asked "Well have you left the base/surrounding aread?", I usually received a reply of"No."......

I liked most bases. I made the most of them. Some of the rotations suck. I had a stint that went like this...Korea...2-3 months home station...Iraq....2-3 months home station...Korea.

Honestly, the places your stationed are what you make of them. I hated all my posts at first, but took the time to see what was around and on post. I hated all of them when I first got to them, except for Ft Knox, I hated Ft Knox after the first week (and it was 10 minutes from my home town). Other then Knox, I hated to leave all my duty stations. Especially Ft Richardson and Drum.
