I spent a month at Irwin, and it seemed terrible.

Ft Bragg is my absolute favorite. Bragg can be a drag if you’re not airborne. Because at Bragg it’s “Airborne this and Airborne that” so if you’re not a Hooah type all the Hooah will bug the hell out of you. I enjoyed Polk and Irwin. I was stationed at both. JSA in Korea was awesome!!!!

You get out of an assignment what you put into it.

I was one of thee original OPFOR in 1981 to be assigned to the NTC. Loved the challenge especially literally building non traditional units from the ground up... S4 must have had numerous headaches trying to keep up with all of the non to&e issues. I was the Recovery Boss for the Armor Bn. Cringed every rotation. But in hindsight seeing the results of the training = to the results of the dessert shield dessert storm conflicts made it all worth it

Chaplain, I would have to say, anyplace where there is a lot of tension, either in the unit or section, where soldiers don't get along. Btw, I was a Chaplain's Assistant for 25 years.
