I'm guessing "in the Army" covers it, but I was Air Force so what do I know?

KP, post perimeter foot patrol in the dead of winter, CQ, doing floors at Battalion, and finally the Nome, Alaska weather station Captain Stillman was assigned to in Stripes.

Fort Hood, if you get assigned to 3D Cav as your first duty station then GOD bless you. In my troop alone at least 70% go to EBH or are on profile. High suicide rates and a lot of chapters for pissing hot. Very low morale. When you in-process into Fort Hood reception tells you that the installation is known for highest in drug abuse, drunk driving, sexual abuse, chapters and many other vices. Austin is fun though if you're into going out. But if you're a nature person the river and lake can get old. You need a car to do anything fun.

It is gone now but tank hill at Fort jackson SC was pretty bad, I remember when a washing machine fell through the rotted out of the second floor and exploded in the billets below. LOL

Good - Campbell, Bragg, Sill, Schweinfurt (FRG), Benning. Not good: Hood, Saudi, Camp Shelby (MS)
