In the 22 years that I have served, I've only been stationed in two bases. Two years at Campbell, and 20 years at Bragg. I've been to a lot of post through out the years though, and I've never really found one that I did not like. Make the best of it, focus on your career, not your weekend.

Were you on the wrong side of the bars at the USDB or JRCF?
Fort Leavenworth is a gorgeous post, totally not Big Army. It reminded me of a college campus, which is what half of it is (the CGSC). It is small, but the OPTEMPO is slower than a slug in winter. Yeah, the food court is dinky, but it is a nice post. If you've been anywhere else in the Big Army, the slow laid-back lifestyle will make you crazy after a year or two. The only things I didn't like about it were the weather, and the Enlisted housing on post. Too much drama.
