Edwards is pretty much it for you. Luke, and Nellis are the only bases we have that are near Cali. Luke is about 3-5 hours from the border of Cali. From what I know, many crew chiefs I know from Edwards didn't like the area because it's in the middle of nowhere.

The closest Active duty F-16 baser to Cali is Luke AFB, Az or Nellis AFB, NV

Once Fresno air national guard base went to F15s, no bases have F16s in California.

They will send we're they need you. You might be one of the lucky ones and get your first pick on your dreamsheet but not likely

Vegas I think it is Nellis. It's been a while. I was at Cannon. I liked it there! Almorgorda, Luke, are the others I'm aware of because they were on my wish list in 2000

Off the top of my heads (and spending 22 years working on F-16s, I will throw out my stateside F-16 bases.. anyone can correct me if I'm wrong.
Edwards AFB, CA
Luke AFB, AZ (I believe F-16's are being phased out here with just a couple AMUs left)
Nellis AFB, NV
Hill AFB, UT
Mountain Home AFB, ID
Shaw AFB, SC
Eglin AFB, FL (I think F-16's are no longer there)
Cannon AFB, NM (Again, I'm pretty sure F-16's are gone from this base)

Mostly spot on sir.
Eglin and Edwards remain our only test bases and don't seem to be phasing us out just yet.
As for Luke, I've worked at both remaining active duty AMUs, and we'll be phased out by 2019.
We now have Holloman added to our list of bases for the time being. Cannon traded us for 130s and mountain home remains an F-15 base.
Our other bases include Maxwell and McEntire. Both are Guard/Reserve units however they accept active duty airmen on a limited bases when they need to fill the slots. Same goes for Homestead AFB outside Miami.

California is mostly heavies, U2's, and super secret squirrel space stuff. not sure if they even have f-16's in that state.

MSgt (Anonymous) - Good to know, it would seem kinda strange if there wasn't at least one WADS base in California.
