What can I do to help my chances of getting a seat to reclass to 68C?

So I’m trying to reclass to 68C right now and I have been for about 3 months. Every time I ask my retention NCO about it there’s never any class seats or probjected class seats.
Is there any way I can do anything on my end to help chances of getting a seat? Or am I just helpless and have to wait?

Mostly posting for future people. I can confirm the seats are rare, but constantly checking back can pay dividends. The schoolhouse (or HRC), I do not know the exact entity, sent out a short suspension notice for the school mid March 18. Reenlisted at the end of that week and I am slotted for May 18. Moral of the story is to keep asking, not now doesn't mean not never.,

Don't contact those numbers, and checking ATRRS class dates won't tell you if there is an open class seat. The fact is, those low density CMF68 series class seats are very rare. There are a handful of classes a year, and only a small portion of the seats are available for reclass, the majority of the class seats will go to IET soldiers.
Check frequently, but have a backup plan. Very soon you will hit a point where you won't be eligible. First, because that MOS is only open to non promotable E4s and second, as an E4 your RCP is 8 years. When you factor the time to you start date, plus a one year AIT, plus the SRR (I think 2 1/2 - 3 years), you need to get a class date before your 4 year mark in the Army, approximately.

Because they don't determine who gets what seats. They may have 20 open seats, but those 20 seats may also be allocated to IET soldiers. The school has no control over that. They may tell you they have seats and you will get frustrated over false hope. The only way to get a seat is through your Career Counselor. No one else is authorized or capable of getting you that slot.

How does the SRR affect it? Why can't you get a seat, go to AIT, and then pin E-5 prior to 8 years?

For the SRR, let's backwards plan:
The RCP for a non promotable E4 is 8 years. The SRR is 3 years. So he must graduate NLT 5 years in. Back that up by approximately a year for AIT, he needs to be in AIT NLT 4 years in and that leaves no room for recycling. Then factor in the wait for these courses. A lot of medical MOS class seats are almost a year away. So you're looking at ideally having no more than 2-3 years in the Army.
As for pinning E5 before 8 years, that is irrelevant. The SRR must be met by reenlistment once he gets the class seat.
