What can I do to help prepare for 25E AIT?

My freinds son is a 25echo and he is at Ft. Gordon, GA He works with eletromagnetics and also works on generators and interpits radio signals. He said that he was thinking of switching to a 25delta but I don't know what that entails. Study any books you can find, he was constantly reading.
