I just graduated that AIT. It's idiot proof honestly. The hands on test is a part they've already had you take off, and the written is open book. Just pay attention and don't overthink it.

Always review the aircraft logbook before you start a task, then read the task from the maintenance manual, grab the proper tools and repair parts for the job, and only take what you need. I see people take every wrench and socket in their tool box for one job. The more you take onto the aircraft, the more likely you are to accidentally drop something and create F.O.D. Know how many cotter pins, nuts, bolts, and washers you need and bring the exact amount. Don't bring extra. That again leads to an increased likelihood of creating F.O.D. if you bring extra stuff onto the aircraft. Don't ever, Ever, EVER put tools or parts in your pockets. Make sure to always remove rings and watches before you climb onto the aircraft.

Good luck with your 15U AIT, it's a fun MOS.

Its a fairly easy course. just pay attention I’m class. Follow the task and listen to instructions. You will be hotel company and pointed out as a leader for the class from the beginning just don’t be overly boastful about being prior service... it’ll cause the other guys to look at you through tainted lens. But it’s a fairly easy course n welcome to the hooker family

I figured they would put me in the Class Leader spot, no issues with that at all, was looking to read up on procedures and things of that nature prior to heading there in March.
