Hello all. I am attending SLC (FT Lee) at the end of the FY. I am a 92A. I’m just looking to see if anyone has any recent experience and what I can expect. Thank you in advance!

I would assume SLC is similar no matter where you attend. Just like any NCOES school there is plenty to do and a lot to absorb. Stay focused and be prepared. The welcome letter from the school house, or ATRRS course scope should give you a solid start.

That’s exactly what I am trying to do - prepare. I am just trying to get a head start so I can focus on class instead of trying to learn something I could learn now. Thanks for the response! Much appreciated.

SSG (Join to see) Did you get a welcome letter from the school house? I’m not a 92A so I can’t give you an specifics, and honestly I’ve never been to Ft. Lee so I can’t really help there. I’m just trying to point you in the right direction.

Prepare to be academically and physically challenged. Formations, classes, PT, community projects, and the most important - group interactions. You'll be doing discussion boards, writing an essay, as well as carrying out some leadership roles, just like in ALC. You'll be treated as an adult, I mean professionally and ethically. Prepare on how to write an essay according to APA standard, as well as be ready for multiple inspections, ASU, barracks room etc...Being a part of the group is very important due to peer evaluations in the beginning and in the end of the course, which will have impact to your overall grade. So clear your head, stay fit, brush up on Army regs and you'll be acing it. At least I have experienced this when I went through SLC at Ft. Rucker, AL, SLC for 42 series at Ft. Lee may differ...but concept is the same. Good luck and congrats!
