What can you do or say at Basic to ensure additional smoke sessions?

smoking in basic? Fellow recruit got caught at parris island with cig smoke on his breath- DIs about pt'd his ass to death

1) Curse at the drill sergeant
2) Ask where you can buy a Smokie The Bear hat
3) Complain about the food, lack of privacy, drills shouting, or just basically anything
4) Tell them your high school football coach was tougher

Chuckle in formation while another recruit is getting smoked... That was the one and only time I received a personal smoke session. Learned my lesson.

Breathe

Last week of basic (EOCT) at Ft Leonard Wood 1988. I did 400 push ups and a half hour of grass drill because I got 2 spoons of jello lol. It was lemon with pear wedges I WILL NEVER FORGET!! Wasn't so funny at the time but I lmao about it now.

Call a Drill Sergeant. Sergeant. It worked for me. I didn't notice the Drill Sgt "Pumpkin"on his blouse. Not so much push ups, but a very long Front Leaning Rest session- until he got tired.

Most of the stories that I'm reading must be army stories. Because 99% of what you all are saying never took place our did not exist when I was in Marine Corps Boot Camp. The only incident I can remember happening in my platoon was this one private left formation we were in dress greens everybody was at attention. This kid had a bladder problem he walked outta formation dragging his rifle walked up to the Di and asked could he go to the Head. All 3 drill instructors Properly dressed him down like no tomorrow had told him to give back information. The recruit Return to formation stood at attention and properly peed his pants in front of everyone. That Went over real good, We all pay the price that day they threw us in the pit in a dress green uniforms and we dear bins and thrust until a buttons popped off. This happen at MCRD San Diego November 1979

OK, in my platoon here were a couple things that would get us smoked. 1. Be late for formation. 2. Be early for formation. 3. Be on time for formation. Also, do not casually stroll between a DS and his platoon. And the one that works everytime.... dip your shoulder while pulling back the charging handle during Inspection Arms.
