What can you do or say at Basic to ensure additional smoke sessions?

There was a guy in my Army basic PLT whose dad was a USMC 1SG. One day he sent him a letter that only contained a stick of Big Red gum with a sticky note that said "Start pushing, boy."
DS looked at him and said, "Hell, he outranks me, get to it!" Fucking hilarious.

While in Navy basic the company commander was correcting my son and told him he was his daddy now. My son said, nope, I'll keep the one I've got. He outranks you.

When I reported to AIT, one of the NCO's at the table asked if I had any personal problems. I foolishly said, "Only the Army." Wrong answer.

I have a young man who was in our Scouts at Church for years and was "the Troublemaker". He just left for Basic at Fort Benning. I have some spoof Business Cards with my name & E-8, USAR Retired and "18Z4X, Vietnam Alum, Wars Quelled, Governments Overthrown, Brothels Managed, Taverns Run...." I was thinking of mailing one to this kid and telling him to give it to his Senior Drill Sergeant, and that he would know what to do. I have written on the back of the card, "Do NOT give this guy a break" and initialed it.

Quote the UCMJ to the Top at mail call, then demand that all the cookies be returned!!

When the DS says something, give him a response that somehow includes his mother. I'm sure that will ensure optimum physical training, maybe with a bonus of wall-to-wall counseling.

I know this is an old post, but back in my day at BCT, going into the chow hall you had to call out your component. "" RA Drill Sergeant" got you out of line and 20 to 30 pushups.
