What can you do or say at Basic to ensure additional smoke sessions?

I was stationed at both places. Both good areas. Drill instruct was mean at both places. But Ft. Benning was nasty sand every where. I was at Sand Hill. Yuk. 6 months of it.

I have a couple...... First, we had a guy in our platoon by the name of Condron. We jokingly called him Captain Condom, and changed his name plate on his bunk to reflect such. Once the drills found out (didn't take long), they gave us the Jane Fonda workout (for those who don't know, that is a smoke session in MOPP 4) that lasted at least an hour. They only had a problem with us referring to him as a Captain, since that is all they referred to while giving us the session. Secondly, one of our fire guards went through the DS office and dug into the contraband (candy that was sent through the mail) while wearing the Senior Drill's display Brown Round (the DS had it mounted on the wall but found it on his desk with sweat marks on the liner). Since they couldn't find the guilty party, the entire platoon got smoked. D/2-28 Fort "Relaxin'" Jackson - Summer of '89

My Frozen Chosin stepfather told me to tell them on T1 that they could not break me. He also times a letter to teh Head DI and DI team, saying they could never make me a strong Marine becuase they themselves were weak maggots who best parts ran down their momma's ass crack after the was gang raped by soldiers. All things said, I graduated boot camp a very strong Marine. I think I was pretty tough too. Have you ever been face down in a pool of salty water dreaming of waves but you could not move? Yeah, that wasn't waves and that quarterdeck was slick as hell with sweat when I finally could get up...after the DI's said, let him lay, he has enough strength to get up by himself you cocksuckers.
My mom sent me a box of Oreo cookies, and the drill instructor made me open them and, while mail call was conducted, "Mark time" on them, making a huge mess on the quarter deck! Wanna guess which numbnuts got to clean THAT mess up? Thanks Mom.

A solution that worked for me in 1965. I was a PFC on an outpost. A VC came down the trail and another Marine put a bullet through his head because he had a cigarette in his mouth. I quit the next day and never again. I knew two other Marines shot for smoking between 1965-1968. Get a friend, (excellent shot) to shoot one out of your mouth, you will quit.

I think breathing can induce additional smoke sessions. I remember my time at Ft Benning, grueling but so worth it.

My battle buddy in basic training father was a drill at Fort Leonard Wood literally across the street from where are company was for basic training. Our DS's found this out on the first day and they made it hell for him everyday
