Sp4 Byron Skinner. None of these silly replays were operative in the early 1960's. In the Army all that was necessary was 11 Bravo. To those who had served in the Army, all knew 11 Bravo, for the vast majority is was what the wanted to avoid. To the Bull Shitters, not a clue. To the The Fresh Water Navy, Air Force, Navy or Marine WGASA.

"Airborne!" usually equates to greetings between Army paratroopers, although there are Airborne units in the other branches. If a trooper is in the 82nd the reply response would be, "All the Way!"

True story. I was in from the field for a couple days in spring 1968 and I heard this on AFN:
"For you Army folks, it's 1600"
"For you Navy folks, it 8 bells"
"For you Air Force people, it's 4 o'clock"
"And for you Marines, the big hand is on 12 and the little hand is on 4."

Hollywood (Real Marines) vs Sand Marine (Paris Island).
I was Hollywood for Boot, then MCT in Pendelton, then MOS at the Stumps (29 Palms), finally stationed at Miramar.
