Old school is
Driving a CUCV
Crew chief on a OH-58A or. a CH-47C
Had to Use Brasso on your Branch and US insignia.
Worked on M-60 gpmg or 8 inch howitzers.
Drove a Kaiser Deuce and a half.

My uniform was OD,I did PT in combat boots and qualified with the M14 rifle,one of my PT events was the run dodge and fall, and the 72 horizontal ladder with rusty bars to boot.I wore a steel pot on field training exercises and the buddie pack.Back then it was chow in the mess hall.I think you got the idea about ole school now if not I can think of plenty more. Active duty (1966-1986) Viet Nam Vet.
