Fatigues for calisthenics in combat boots, M-1 rifle in basic training, WW II barracks, grease pit, yardbird, KP, smoke ‘em if ya got ‘em, beer bars, pass bus. That’s enough.

PT uniform was fatigues and boots. Issue weapon was an M-14. No optics, iron sights EM were quartered in a squad bay, E-5 and above had rooms. Butt cans on the uprights in WWII barracks. Up-armor on our Jeeps were sandbags on the floorboards. Flak jackets. No ear or eye pro.
