I'm hearing/reading people saying "I'm old school, therefore..." So out of curiosity's sake, where is that ever-moving line?

When I arrived to WAC basic training in 1962, our sergeants were still wearing taupe uniforms and some girls had to dye their "brown" boots black. Our PT uniforms were a taupe shirt, pleated shorts, and an A-line skirt that buttoned down the front. The entire uniform had to be starched and ironed. That's was "old, old school" military.

The definition of "Old Corps" is the day before the junior person in the conversation began boot camp.

Running PT in boots and duty uniform, eating out of a metal mess kit using metal spoon, knife and fork, sleeping in a pup with a shelter half and driving the old 2 1/2 ton trucks!

Finding tuna then insuring a round can of crackers and hot sauce was in the C rats.
Make sure you keep your last P38.
Find a GI to trade your 3 pack of Lucky Stricks for a can of Ham slices & can of crackers.
