I entered service on 1985. Was trained by Vietnam veterans, do me Korean war veterans and the old Senior NCO and Officers that served since WW2. This is when their was cussing in our cadences and our every Day language. I retired in 2014 and the military got so fucking soft.

Sir, I respectfully disagree. I was at a joint-service school (DLI) and had to counsel a female Army SSG because she 1) told my Marines that they could not have high-and-tight haircuts because they were "too militant," 2) told my Marines to take down a picture of the Iwo Jima flag-raising because it was "too warlike," and 3) told my Marines to stop exercising so much because it was "body shaming the other services." I had to do the counseling because the Army would not - their command feared she would level an EO complaint against them. Although I applaud your support of the NCO ranks, sir, I must aver that rank is not the same as time in service and neither necessarily equates to warrior spirit.

What you did was old school...standing up for your Marines and the Marine tradition. No PC there.

I actually served with WWII service members in the National Guard during the early 1980"s....Korean War ones....were a dime a dozen...

Being politically correct wasn't an issue. Saturday mourning inspections. Highly polished boots. Military crease on fatigues. Black beret for Calvary. Gig pit in Airassault and Airborne School.
Skill Proficiency Test. M14 Rifle throughout Basic Training. Fort Polk was known as Little Vietnam. Escape and Evasion Course. The dying cockroach. Hooah was an Infantry term.
"C" Dats, grunts, gunbunnies, remfs, WAC,Doc,wrenchmonkies and a few more that are pretty nasty.
