I'm hearing/reading people saying "I'm old school, therefore..." So out of curiosity's sake, where is that ever-moving line?

I wore no PT belt and never rode in a truck. I drilled with an 03A3 that the bolt had been welded shut. But I went through GLNTC in 1960 and that makes me "Old School".

Knowing what a P38 is and what the purpose of it exactly is. 1. Handy-dandy middle of the night screwdriver. 2. Open any tin can. 3. Great nostalgic conversation starter. 4. C-rats can opener. 5. All of the above.

Old school is any time one day after you joined. Anybody who was in before that is old school. Anybody one day after that is a newbie and has it easier than you do.

In Korea in 1960, having to purchase and wear those stupid pillbox caps (no way to fold them up and put them in your fatigues pockets) and purchase and wear those damned silly dickies.
