I'm hearing/reading people saying "I'm old school, therefore..." So out of curiosity's sake, where is that ever-moving line?

Anyone who thinks that there service was harder than the current service is "old school". It is a point of view, nothing else.

Read “The Civil War; A Narrative” by Shelby Foote.

Everything will make sense.

Old school, pt in a pickle suit with boots on. C reations and a p38 ever 10 cans, cadince talking about two old women lying in bed, wearing the old wac uniform even though you were new army, shinning boots with neutral kwi polish, a bennie black hat for dress hat, using fingernail polish remover on your brass, maxing a pt test, 1st sgt telling yu horse s-it when you say I can't. Paying 35 dollars for the bdu to replace your pickle suil, oh blousers or blousing rubbers and sizing instead of starch so your bud dont glow in the dark, shelter halvee and riding in a gamma goat top speed 35 mph, and flunking the float test for the gamma goat, looking at mre like what!, using moe gas to stay warm, pling out of a duce 1/2 being excited about hum v, knowing what reforger is..riding and strapping a pt in a cracker box, smokum if you gotem, ration card for 10lbs of free beef ration cards for cigarettes people passing out while standing up lol first tent to go up in the feild being the beer hall. Spit shine jump boots (oh the memories) with it all we were all family

Shoot I wore for PT my OD Pants, boots, and white T-shirt now that is what I wore prior to the Banana Suit. Then, what about those WWII that you had to be on the roster to place coal in it to keep the place warm!

Every Marine who graduated Boot Camp before you (even if that was yesterday) is “Old Corps”. To them, you’ll never rise above “boot” or maybe “shower shoe”.

I admit I haven't read all the comments, but of the many I have read, I saw no mention of it, so I'd like to add the following to the old school list:
NO CONTRACTORS !!!
PS: As I experienced all of the items on the posted list, I certainly qualify as "old school" ;-)
