The term "Old School" is usually said by someone who's been in the Service long enough to witness a change in standards or policy, but doesn't agree with or want to comply with said change for example," Smoking a Soldier is considered hazing? Well, I'm an Old School

If you have been in the Navy longer than your newly reported Seaman has been alive, you're old school.

I would say, served at least a year prior to 2000. That puts you in Cold War times.

being considered old school is being old army or old military. they switched in 1979. if you was in the lastcycles in july then your considered old school.

BDUs if you still own a pair. Using tents and tent stakes/poles. That blasted camp net nobody knew how to put up.

Still respecting your superior. Such as if you're a specialist and ur talking to an NCO u go to parade rest. Also an E-5 going to parade rest for an E-7.
