I saw this come across my news feed this morning, as well as one of the local radio shows talking about it.
This is an absolutely STUPID idea!!! When in a pocket, it looks real. What would an officer think if they had to make that split second decision to shoot, or not to shoot. The owner of this product is pulling their phone out, but in order to do that, they have to grab the handle of the faux-pistol, which appears as if they are drawing a real firearm!

Boy, talk about asking for trouble. You would have to be a complete idiot to own and use this phone case. I mean, WTF-Over!

A fear from a perceived threat is a threat. It's not a good idea to point a faux fire arm at anybody especially at someone who is under arms.

They better have really good product liability on this product. Can you imagine someone going to pull it out to show it is only a phone case? Game over.

That would be my fear, as an officer. I mean, once the weapon crosses that 45 degree angle, you may as well consider yourself shot. At that point, it becomes automatic.
