I took her up a hill to view orange county at sunset. Bad idea since she was gasping for air after that hike.

Bubba, I concur about the flowers but sometimes real ones are great to get. The neat thing with my wife is she has carefully kept and stored ALL the roses I have sent to her. It's not too many since I have sent her regular boquets of floweres too.

lol, now don't get me wrong, I have had some years where I have ordered them while deployed and they were delivered to her etc. But the other day I was taking trash to the dump and was running late to get to her lunch time (teacher at local JR. High) so, seeing the flower shop was full and Hobby Lobby (where I usually get fake ones from) was on the other side of town, I just hit up Home Depot. ehh it worked. She liked em, she will kill them, mission accomplished lol

I feel that Valentines Day is completely overrated, and commercially shoved down peoples throats. I love my wife EVERYDAY, and I try to show her that EVERYDAY! Having said that, I/We don't do anything special that isn't received on any other day of the year!

Allowing her to sleep in this morning. making breakfast, lunch, dinner and cleaning up, Brushing her hair 100 strokes. Body massage before bedtime. Nothing is too good for the love of my life and soul-mate of 43 years.

I did the usual. Took her to our favorite restaurant. We exchanged cards, but it wasn't the usual. I told her how much she meant to me. I told her how lost I would be without her. I thanked her for being by my side during the tough times and the good times.

Several months ago I gave my wife if a FitBit and she is really into that; but there a more advanced model that logs stairs, etc. So I ordered her a new FitBit not exactly for Valentines Day but it was supposed to be delivered that day. Plus I got her two dozen red roses along with these two cuddle bears. Oh I might add. In four more months we will have been married 50 years.
