I decided to start building this library for my significant other (that would be myself). Then I bought a power drill to ensure I really make this happen. Now I'm learning how to use a power drill woohoo! Thanks Valentine's Day! :)

Since I am currently lacking in the significant other department I had some beers at home and blew my tax refund on a 1651 map of Japan.... totally worth it!

We don't get bad typhoons as far north as I am, we just get earthquakes and snow!

I don't miss the earthquakes either....lol...that is a beautiful pic...sooo much snow. We haven't gotten too much here (NE), but the cold has been in full swing.

Since my wife loves elephants, got her this little elephant looking pillow, a card and a dozen pink roses (she loves pink). I also got a card (the two on the left) and a red rose for each of our boys to give to her. She loved all of her gifts. What's great is what my boys gave me: the little wooden storage box. One of the best gifts I have ever received.
That's pretty awesome SSG! Last year I went to Hong Kong on leave and I was appalled at the amount of ivory that was for sale. I had heard that China was the #1 consumer of elephant ivory, but to go to a place where a store was filled with it was shocking. That, coupled with the prevalence of shark fins, really soured some of my perception of the area.

I don't doubt it. It's truly sickening what those people are doing. If you are on Facebook, check out "The David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust", "The Amboseli Trust for Elephants", and "Craig 'Sawman' Sawyer". If you're unfamiliar with Craig, he is a former Navy SEAL who was a guest instructor on the History Channel show "Top Shot". He, and 3 other former SPECOPS guys, is also in a show called "Rhino Wars" that is fighting to prevent the extinction of Rhinos in Africa. They go after poachers and the such.

Currently the kiddos are 2 boys and they got their V-day stuff from friends at school, but we do have a daughter due in May, so I am trying to spoil the wife as much as possible for now until the new addition and know all attention will most likely be directed that way by family and friends.

She also got a gift card to get a few pregnancy massages at her leisure.
