I believe digital tools are the least important thing needed. I would like to be able to get through to speak to someone when need be without jumping through hoops and leaving messages. Getting prescriptions in a timely matter would also be great!

I am 93 and am still teaching art(oil Painting), and my chair is falling apart as well as covered in 23 years of paint.

The VA's digital tools generally work much better than a few years ago. However, the wait times for health care especially between appointments are still quite long.

Instagram is helpful at times, though it has become heavily populated with conspiracy theorists. LinkedIn can be a useful business-oriented tool. A well-managed website like RallyPoint that actively eliminates the rabbit holes the comments tend to follow into nit-picking, condescending posts would be useful. Your site poses great questions, but often it seems members just use the question to make a pointed political statement.

I utilize the MyHealtheVet website to communicate with my primary care physician.

I use MyHealthEVet and I think it’s absolutely phenomenal. They’ve come a long way making the VA more accessible and tech age compatible! I personally appreciate the ability to get calls, texts and emails as reminders because I’m extremely forgetful - even when I add things to my calendar.

I use most of the digital tools, and especially like being able to reorder prescriptions online. I have used the message system with my team doctor and reviewed test results in My HealtheVet.

You should allow current smartwatches that people own communicate with the VA. I have an IOS watch that will send health data like steps, heart rate and meds taken to my civilian Dr. (When I want to send it) then we are on the same page. I don’t use VA health as my primary Dr because I have my own civilian Dr.
