I use several tools for my VA appointments and prescriptions. Myhealthevet is first. From this I can lookup appointments, prescriptions, old health records, lab results and send/receive confidential emails from my PCP. I receive text messages concerning upcoming appointments, prescriptions that are due to be renewed, and approve their renewal. Emails are the same things. These tools keep me up to date on VA prescriptions and appointments. I receive the emailed VA newsletter that keeps me informed of issues at the VA, i.e., upcoming events and covid requirements.
The one tool that I would like is the ability to handle CPAP issues online. The current method is not user friendly. By calling a number and just leaving a voice mail you never feel assured that the items were ordered or not. The people there, if you call and get forwarded to a person, act as if they are being put out by having to talk to you.
I have used the video conferencing for many appointments that did not require in person contact.

Digital tools can enhance the VA experience, Available 24/7, with endless information on VA health, finances, chat session with a real person, and the list goes on. See for yourself. You can't hurt it. Nothing to fear.

Hello, I find that the VA healthcare .gov website is very useful and easy to navigate. I can access my complete records, appointments, documents and more.

The new app the VA put out is a breath of fresh air. The communication part is a little antiquated so I hope to see some fixes to that. It would also be nice if the status of VA claims could be more clear. It can sit in a specific status for months without any updates.

I love being able to send a message to my Doctor! It saves a lot of visits to the VA for small things, and it frees up more time the Doctors can spend on more veterans. The only thing I don’t understand is how to look at the Doctors notes.

I use the VA MyHealth website for prescriptions, communication with my health care team, and medicinal records. I would like the ability to schedule appointments online with my primary care team like most other healthcare systems have.

I would like to see scheduling for appointments at COOC's automated online. They are impossible to reach by phone.

Honestly, we don't need all the fancy updates and upgrades, just something that works consistently. I no longer have access to my DS login because of the the authenticator bullcrap that you offered on the VA site that sent an 8 digit code instead of the 6 digit one you wanted. Also, how about ensuring the different govt sites that all use the login portal actually talk to each other? If I update DEERS, which is a login that I have to have to even use the VA site, it should be updated on the VA's end too. Just communicate better and we'd all be happier!

I use the VAs app and their assorted websites. I would like to see them clean up their phone system for ordering prescriptions. The last time I had to use that system to reorder a prescription it took nine selections, with at least three of them "renew / order a prescription". Should be one and done.
