A mental health app specifically for those that have served or are currently serving would be good. The app could connect veterans in a mental health crisis to help immediately whether that's talking to a counselor, sending help to the veterans location (emergency medical service/ambulance *AT NO COST TO THE VETERAN,) or providing the veteran with a listening ear with NO wait time. There's a lot more that could potentially be added to the app in the future, but that would be a good start. There's an app called "be my eyes" that people can download where volunteers help the visually impaired with tasks. It could be something similar to that, but instead connecting veterans with a compassionate listening ear. The app sends the call to several people that way it's guaranteed that someone will answer quickly.

Maybe an app. I have the medicine app for refills and it is okay. But I still have to go to the website for message to my doctor. Maybe an app that does meds and message and appointment setup. That would be great.

I see a challenge with signing online versus using a cell phone- sometimes it works on a phone better than signing on with a computer. For the older veterans who don’t have a computer or an online capable cell phone- it’s useless. When they call the 800# a lot get a person who gives wrong information.

I use e-benefits but it is cumbersome. Here are two needed improvements that could be quite helpful.1- make the filing of travel pay reimbursements easier. There is a mess trying rk find it and once there the system makes you reenter it and then it doesn't go through. 2- not having to wait 72 hours for medical results to be viewable- this is from doctors notes to imaginging etc.

I like the suggestion of low-cost or free internet access. It's amazing how many people struggle with that.

I would say making things easier to find and navigate. Also there are so many websites and links. I also think that as we get older we don't want digital as it will be hard to do ourselves.

I just want transparency. Although maybe the ability for me to call the VA directly. I had an appointment and the Physician wanted me to call them. I found out that it was not possible to call directly to a physicians office, nor is it possible to get transferred to their office. They have to be notified and call me back. And i agree...more people, actual real people. And maybe even a few people that have a little empathy for Veterans and dont view us as a burden.

I believe the VA could improve on the rescheduling of the follow-up appointments to ensure that the veteran is able to get those in a more timely fashion if he/she forgets or have to cancel their original appointments. Maybe send text/email reminders to the veteran to call/schedule the missed appointment that was canceled.
