I use MyHealthy Vet for medical issues. Since it's nearly impossible to reach ny PC by phone, the message system is a wonderful recourse.

Technology is not always the best advocate for customer services especially if it is not configured correctly or updated as required.

The online appointment scheduler is very nice. Seeing the open time slots and picking the most convenient one is quicker than being on hold for the next available agent.

I have an android cell phone and a desktop computer with fast internet. A Laptop would be nice for an additional source of resource and communication on road trips. Also, a portable printer would be awesome! I'm an avid researcher of all kinds of information that's available to me.

I like human interaction. There always needs to be a person behind the machine.

I think having digital resources such as art programs of all kinds and other educational courses would be a tremendous help to the veteran community. I know when it comes to dealing with mental health technology isn't the best option, the best thing to combat mental health is to have well trained individuals to listen and work with veterans through their issues. I think most of us would prefer a counselor that is a combat veteran since the biggest majority of veterans needing help have PTSD along with many other physical issues. Also maybe and courses that we can take on line for free to help us out many of us can't work and find ourselves bored and depressed. If we had something to set a goal too like leadership courses, Microsoft office courses, etc. It would give us that sense of belonging again and some we can actually look forward too.

The digital tools that I use most frequently are the VA app and the health portal online. Both have been very helpful for me with navigating things dealing with the VA. I do miss the kiosks though for travel pay reimbursement. I feel that the website is far to glitchy.
