I like using the Va apps to schedule appointments and for renewing subscriptions. Calling in can be a pain and these apps make it easier to do most basic medical needs more quickly. However, I would like it if there was some way to be notified if my messages are read and when/if my medications are renewed some way to track them so I know when they will arrive.
I also use the VideoConnect for appointments which I like so I don’t have to come in for all of my appointments that don’t require bloodwork etc. wish there was a way to schedule appointments via the app. Without having to call or send a message. Like basically you would see the calendar open days/times and request best day/time available. You could leave a message abt why you want to be seen and then someone from the office could confirm and schedule or deny the appointment with a list of available options. I find calling in challenging and it often keeps me from making appointments that I know I should. that would be a big help.

As the veteran generation is more integrated with technology, these are helpful tools:
For college, using an iPad, Wi-Fi, phone, and laptop can be incredibly beneficial. These tools offer a range of capabilities that can enhance your college experience. Here's how each of these tools can be utilized:

1. iPad: The iPad is a versatile device that can serve multiple purposes in your college life. You can use it for note-taking, reading e-books, accessing online course materials, and organizing your schedule. With various productivity apps available, the iPad can help you stay organized and efficient.

2. Wi-Fi: Having access to Wi-Fi is essential for completing online assignments, conducting research, participating in virtual classes, and collaborating with classmates. Most college campuses provide Wi-Fi coverage, and if you're studying remotely or off-campus, you can rely on your home or public Wi-Fi networks.

3. Phone: Your phone can be a valuable tool for college as well. You can use it for communication with professors, classmates, and group project members. It also allows you to access email, set reminders, manage your calendar, and stay connected to important college-related updates or notifications.

4. Laptop: A laptop is a vital tool for college students as it provides the necessary computing power for a wide range of academic tasks. You can use it for writing papers, creating presentations, conducting research, and accessing online learning platforms. It also offers the flexibility to work on assignments from anywhere.

In addition to these digital tools, you mentioned using eBenefits and telehealth for care. These tools are specific to veterans and can greatly contribute to your well-being during college:

1. eBenefits: eBenefits is an online portal that allows veterans to access and manage their benefits, including education benefits like the GI Bill. It enables you to apply for benefits, track claims, and access educational resources conveniently.

2. Telehealth: Telehealth services provide veterans with the ability to receive medical care remotely. This is particularly useful for addressing health concerns while in college, as you can consult with healthcare providers via video calls. Telehealth eliminates the need for in-person visits and ensures you can access care conveniently.

By utilizing these digital tools, you can efficiently manage your academic responsibilities, stay connected with college, and access necessary benefits and healthcare services.

Functioning website is more than enough. Provide more guides on VA and military benefits people are confused about.

Signing into any of the sites. Right now it is a pain and a hassle every time you want to sign into an account even if it is to check your health records or an appointment. Just getting on is a pain sometimes.

I use my phone and computer for emails, as well as video medical appointments. I order prescription medications through My HealtheVet.

I have been trying to work with my fellow students at USV to create a database of nearby events from the DAV, AMVETS, VFW, etc. No collective app or website exists that contains this info. It would be great that when a vet is nearing crisis mode that he can open an app and find something that other vets are doing that day so he can be around fellow brothers/sisters in arms. This is what I would like to see. If it was made available then organizations could just input the event and the AI does the rest.

As I have told the VA, set up small booths in VA facilities thst are maned with TEC SAVY volunteers ( probably younger folks ).
You can have all the apps, web sites, etc but they are no good unless you are shoen how to use them.
A majority of the VA patients were born before color TV.
Call it VETTEC!!!
