I’ve been in the Guard for a little over than a year and a half. I’ve been wanting to go active for a long time. I’ve not regretted anything else more than not going active initially. What is the process or any tips/advice that may be helpful for me to continue?

First, you'll need a DD-368. That DD-368 will need to be routed and signed. Once approved, you can go talk to an AD recruiter. Go through the same MEPS process, minus the ASVAB. Sign contract, and report to your unit.

SGT (Join to see) I would add that you may want to read the other thousand posts on Rallypoint on this topic. Try typing DD368 or National Guard to Active Duty into the search box. Lots of good discussions including those on recruiting duty that have the information.

Go to your nearest Active/Reserve recruiting office. They will sign and give you the DD368 that you need. Take it to your NG staff for processing. once (if) approved through your unit, take it back to your new active duty recruiter. he will process the rest and send you back to meps. If your physical is still within 2 years, you wont have to take the meps physical again. You will simply talk to a guidance counselor and get your new ship date to your newest Army installation
