I think it is ridiculous that grown adults need classes to be taught to respect people regardless of their differences, but here we are.

It cracks me up that some are suggesting that there is no need to have training because every adult knows how to treat each other with respect. What a joke. If that were true the military wouldnt have the sexual assault problem it has and websites like marine united wouldnt be filled with service members degrading fellow service members.

I can't wait to see what you folks have to say about learning how to treat others with respect. Cue the trolls.

SSG Patricia King - Most people treat others by substance vs. appearances. Truth be told I don't care what people choose to do with their lives provided their choices are not creating an environment that favors the minority and marginalizes the majority. Everybody should be treated with a degree of dignity and respect..However, gender identity is and individual choice and not a majority responsibility..when that choice is made; fair treatment should be the norm not preferential treatment expected..

SSG Patricia King - Just pointing this out, not meant to be disrespectful at all toward anyone but you said "I wish that I didn't have to watch people on rally point, USA WTF moments, the infantry page and everywhere else talk openly about if I should have the right to exist. ".
It is simple, you don't have to watch it, you choose to. I have learned to just ignore or pass over most stuff I dislike. By stating that simple sentence, you turned it into an issue everyone else is causing that you dislike. This is the biggest problem with today's world, everyone has to please everyone else, or someone's feelings get hurt. Growing up, I learned if you don't like someone's opinion, don't listen to it, or just ignore it. They had their right to state it and we respected that. It also didn't mean we had to agree.

Cpl Mark A. Morris - How about, "One must be professional and respectful to all people, regardless of their sex."? Would that be fair?
