What do we do about Confederate monuments at sea? Is there a common ground at which the removal of anything that offends anyone can cease?

The purpose of erecting monuments and naming U.S. ships after Confederates—enemies of the United States—seems to be to recognize their perceived status as noble warriors rather than remembering the cause for which they fought. This view is not shared.

SCPO (Join to see) My question to you - Do you agree with the Commander or not and why?
Anyway choosing and picking on Robert Edward Lee for being a representative of slavery and the Confederacy is just plain wrong both ethically and historically. Those choosing to promote this type of bile know nothing about Robert E. Lee and what he did or did not stand for.
Now for some of the other individuals like Nathan Bedford Forest, there could be some discussion especially when it comes to actions during and after the war.
ADDED - I think it is time that we start once again teaching American History and not some politically correct BS.
