I really try to question everything and sometimes I have ask hard questions. What do you bring to the table for RallyPoint?
I really enjoy seeing some great questions, lively discussions, and mentorship but as of late I really have some questions. If you are reading this and are questioning me then my post is working. But what do you bring to table? I have always thought quality over quantity. But is a daily motivational post really contributing? One thing that I have just read was a question that was targeted for person with a particular experience and knowledge set and a reply was something stating they were a FB mentor. I don't even know what that means.
Long ago when RP was starting I floated the idea separating questions by ranks and groups. It wasn't well received. As time went on this would become something that a member could do by asking a question to a particular group.
With that being said, I like to think I can provide relatively solid advice and mentorship to those that area asking a question. I have served over two decades in the Army. But if there is a question that I can't answer you won't see me post a motivational quote or something just to be seen. I am not trying to discourage anyone from participating but I am encouraging those that can provide content to do so.

I see you point, I agree. There seems to be a few that treat this like face book. Also realize that there are a few that are looking for camaraderie with the troops which is irreplaceable from my viewpoint.

I offer traditional and time tested advice appropriate to the leading question. Am also sometimes bewildered by what seems to be a reluctance to ask other unit members, particularly senior NCO about questions and try to advocate communication amongst unit members. Totally unqualified to respond to Non USMC occupational area questions and avoid them like the plague.

LtCol Robert Quinter, I have used the platform to gain insight on Branch specific questions, as I was never in a joint environment. I also try to pass on the little things that make the Corps great to the other branches. Semper Fidelis.

CPT (Join to see) Have you really looked at SGT Ben Keen ‘s notice that he is seriously considering leaving RP for reasons similar to those you cite?
