My husband I pray for others. He has agent orange Parkinsons. Most of the things we could do before to help others we not longer can. Prayer is always needed and we can do it from home.

To maintain my mental health I exercise, journal and make sure to keep close to my friends and family. When I start to feel a little off I will use counseling or meditate. I’m not afraid to ask for help or admit when I’m feeling off. As they say, it’s ok to not be ok.

Working, as a volunteer advisor, with three High School Students in the Summit Technology Academy has restored my faith in America's future! I had become somewhat depressed with watching the network news until I met these three inspiring high school students who are involved in bringing Star-link services to a rural school in Kenya.

I tried to talk about my mental health issues with the department of veterans affairs doctors, aka the psychiatrist department and I ended up being involuntary put in to the psychiatric hospital for a month and lost my rights to own a firearm. What on God's Green Earth would I tell you what I do now to stop any of my thoughts from being intrusive or something else. So my advice for anyone who wants to know what to do, don't tell them anything, it will be used against you. The V.A. killing veterans since 1943.

I volunteer with the women’s veterans group as well as my family, and I make gift bags for the homeless, and we have them out at random. Every time we see homeless on the street he gives me a sense of purpose makes me feel like I matter. And it’s nice to spend time with family doing something good something positive something helpful something to take my mind off of the things that gave me PTSD
