This is a general question. If you have a soldier who refuses to listen to you, as a non-commissioned officer, do you simply put the incident on paper?

Example given- A soldier has unauthorized sunglasses on in a formation. You tell the soldier to take the sunglasses off. He/she refuses.

On the 4856, do you recommend for UCMJ? I've gone thru 600-20 and cannot find anything regarding this

I would write him up for insubordination and refusing a direct order. Then request a summary court martial. After that I think the Gunny has the right idea.

Well I'm a big fan of punching people in the face. If he disobeyed a direct order, IN FRONT of everyone. An example has to be made instantly. The example should be so devastating that it will never happen again. Now hitting someone is a good way to make enemies so instead I'd recommend platoon wide punishment. Thanks to dipshit here, you're all in for a treat.....

Disobeying a lawful order is a serious offense, he should be brought before the PLT SGT/ 1st SGT ASAP.
