What do you do with your old medals and ribbons?

I have an annoying assortment of no longer accurate pre-built ribbon and medal racks (I never had patience to build them myself). I don't want to throw them away or sell them because it seems wrong and might contribute to a stolen valor problem, does anyone know of any ribbon rack sites that recycle them somehow or another creative method of disposal/reuse?
EDIT: I am talking about outdated sets of awards after you get more and your old pre-built set is no longer accurate, what do you do with them?

They are now in a small plastic pail with my ribbon racks, lapel insignia, Division and Regimental Crests, Marksmanship Badges, etc. One day I will put them in a framed shadowbox for all the world to see....ha ha ha

I'd do the same as the ones I have now, throw em in a box of old memories. Or you could go ahead and get them framed along with some of your other old stuff, and mount it on a wall.

In about 3 years if my cancer goes the way the doctors say it will I will be buried in full service dress but my medals will be given to my brothers and sisters so they can tell their children what the rows of salad were that are on my service dress.

For a deceased (prior/retired) service member, family members can receive (at no cost to them) a ribbon rack with all attachments by submitting a copy of the DD 214 and death cwrtificate to RCPAC in St Louis. Is possible address has changed, however your loca VA will have complete details and address. At the time my father passed, he didn't have any of his ribbon racks and had only held on to a couple of his medals, and the VA helped me get a complete set

SSG Kevin Price SR - If you go to http://www.archives.gov, click veterans' service records, click Request Service Records Online, click Submit your request Online with eVetRecs. Start filling out the request form and on the second page make sure you select Military Awards/Decorations. When you are done print out the last page sign and Fax it to the number on the second page that printed out. It takes about 90 days to receive them. What ever that RCPAC things is they probably just do what I said above for you. No matter what if you want them for free its the National Archives that gets them for you.

I've got a "shadow box" containing my sword, "rack" and rank devices in the "I Love Me" room...everything else is in some wad of boxes stuck somewhere in the attic.
