A civilian didn't stop for morning colors that happens at 08 every day. Even though two vehicles were stopped on the same road. One of the vehicles pulled into his lane and called him out on it and he just called the guy an idiot for stopping him.

Since not all civilians work on bases and installations, many are visitors and may not know the rules. I would simply identify myself and ask if the work on the base. If they do I would tell them what their actions should be, and if they do not I would tell them what we all do on base during those periods. For the former, if they continued with the disrespectful and rude behavior I would take their plate number to the bases SEL. Thank you for your service.

I think that there are already consequences for not stopping for the colors in the morning and afternoon. At least, on Army posts there is. Not stopping for the call of reveille and retreat could result in receiving a ticket. If you are a service member who doesn't do it, it can result in a ticket and potential NJP from your chain of command. As for Joe Schmo service member or vet chasing someone down to give them an earful, why? If these people don't have that respect, I just don't see how a random person stopping them and bitching at them for a few minutes is really going to change anything.
