So...The Army is doing a retiree recall option for a 2 year stint. You probably saw the Army Times article on it from TRADOC. I have the email where G1/G4 at Fort Eustis, VA is asking more information to be considered, mainly bio info.
Reaching out to see what you know about - If you retired under TERA, does it mean you now dont quite have 20 years and TERA is not an option, so you are just out? Do you have to re-file your VA claims? What are advantages and disadvantages to going back in for 2 years? Could you extend?

I'm an Armor Maj that took the VSI back in 1992. I then reentered the Army while stationed in Japan (under my wife's orders as a DA Civilian) I went to a 2 week Re-Greening Training at FT Jackson, SC and then reported in to J3 of US Forces Japan, in IAMD section. Sequestration (2012/13) and probably other situations didn't allow me to extend - even though I had found another unit that needed and wanted me. So, if it's reopened I'm very interested in a 2 year stint.

I got something from my gaining unit CSM ...It said VA pay will start and stop. Report date no earlier than 1 November 2018. I am waiting on orders pending a positive background check. I dont really want to talk too much about clearances. But I am on and playing the waiting game.
