Foreign badges no longer go on your ERB/SRB so should I keep it on because I earned it or would taking it off help make my uniform look "better"?

AR 670-1 Para 22-18 does say align to the right edge of the name tagso that the crest is visible, but I am looking for just professional options on this.

(Also that was just the lighting, my lapel is NOT that wrinkled)

If I earned it, I wore it. Just make sure you are wearing your stuff in accordance with AR 670-1. While not listed on your ERB/SRB you should have the orders authorizing the acceptance and wear of your foreign awards in your OMPF (unless something has changed recently). In the photo provided I can see enough of the regimental crest to determine correct or incorrect placement. I'd be interested to see if it becomes more or less visible with you wearing your jacket.

As long as it is in your OMPF, then wear it after all you earned it. Just make dang sure it conforms to the latest regs and is still a valid award according to the regs.

Way to many badges worn in the Army to even keep track of, I would hate to have to be pinning all of those badges on my uniform for each and every inspection or promotion board.

What do you recommend in reguards to foreign badges when taking a DA Photo?

Personally I wear mine for my photo and have everything uploaded into my OMPF as well. I have heard of people just leaving it off for their photo though. The theory is that if not worn it leaves less up to interpretation for the board members.

I say wear it pride and ensure you wearing your foreign decoration IAW 670-1.

As long as you got the docs to back it up, wear it in that DA Photo with pride.

Are you saying it is wrinkled, just not that wrinkled?

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m pretty sure that that particular badge goes above the unit (regimental in this case) crest and the badge is authorized to be set off to the right to be made visible outside the lapel. Of course this is based on what I’ve seen in numerous official photos of soldiers on the internet wearing the badge, so I could be wrong. Hope this helps SSG!

You are mistaken. You may be thinking of the shutzensnuar for rifle proficiency, which goes above the regimental crest by virtue of it's placement under the shoulder epaulets and hanging cord. SSG Elmore has his proficiency badge in the correct place.
