What do you think about empowering women to help build up Afghanistan?

Lt Col (Join to see) I firmly believe that there is nothing that will settle the ME down than to empower the women there. Once men have to become accountable to their mothers/wives/sisters/daughters, once a woman can kick a man to the couch for crappy behavior, once they're educated, I'm willing to bet my last dollar that there would be a HUGE impact overall, in the ME. Just think of how many times you, personally, have changed your behavior, or withheld it, simply to avoid antagonizing, or, better yet, to impress, a woman?

Interesting concept but first you have to explain how you, as an American, are going to empower Afghani women in a country where there is little too no governance and where the culture says the are little more than property.
