What do you think about Silencers and Suppressors?

Test firing of an AAC 762SD Suppressor on a 16 inch .300 Blackout Rifle.
The most popular and fastest growing area in the firearms industry is sound suppressors and silencers (The BATFE uses the term Silencers, I understand that you can not totally silence a firearm). What are your thoughts.

Having reduced hearing from gunfire, I love them. A lot of people shy away from certain calibers due to the sound. By reducing the noise, not only will the neighbors thank you, but you can introduce shooters to larger calibers by reducing the perception of big bang=heavy recoil. Plus, they are just plain fun!
