What do you think are the largest issues facing the Veteran community?

Homeless, need to find jobs for vets and make sure verts are receiving food stamps etc. if needed.

Access to proper medical care. We have so many Veterans who hate the VA. Why cant we be seen by real medical professionals who have something to lose? VA doctors do not care because with the VA "once youre in, youre in." A doctor screws up, or their patients hate them.... Nothing happens.
Community care program is decent when it comes to not getting an appointment within 30 days... Why cant we just choose outside care? Not by some sleezeball facility that won a contract with the government, but by one WE find and WE trust.

Robert Vance Navy Even with a 100% I have trouble getting dental care through the VA. That and the “Woke” atmosphere that has crept into the VA.

I think in part, the largest issues veterans are faced with (if I understand the question correctly) are, Mental Health issues (MH), suicidal ideation/suicide, and lack of consistent MH care. I know what it's like to not truly acclimate to society. I also know what is like to constantly have to retell/relive hurts, and trauma because my therapist were constantly being changed. It's my hope and prayer that Veteran Affairs Behavioral Health Services will be more of a priority when it comes to the availability/diversity of therapist/counselors. The therapeutic relationship deserves consistency! This helps to build trust overtime which I believe will help veterans to truly open up and get the help we all need for whatever reasons we might have. Mental health awareness is so important and so is awareness of the stigma that goes along with it. It's real. Thanks so much for listening.

Survival

Too Easy! Mental Health Issues, not only for the Veteran, but the Veteran's family, who are also directly affected. Additionally, must pass the Co-Pay Over-Pay Bill which will reduce the cost of Mental Health medications required by our Veterans and Families. Along with the Mental Health Issues facing our Veterans, we are experiencing a SIGNIFICANT INCREASE in HOMELESS VETERANS AGAIN. While Government is focused on taking care of the hundreds of thousands on ILLEGALS crossing our border, CARE FOR OUR VETERANS IS SEVERELY LACKING!!!

Homelessness, hunger and lack of adequate mental and physical healthcare for some non-retirees.

Lack of a central point for ALL resources, government & civilian.

The transfer from Military life to Civilian life. Completely different worlds and at times seems the civilian side does not undersatnd this at all.

Lying politicians who are not working for Veteran's nor the citizens of the United States. They are power hungry and they know money gives them the power to do whatever keeps the taxpayers money and Lobbyist clan money filling their pockets. You've heard of the "Supply Chain " problems causing the price of necessary items increasing and the booming inflation? It's another lie to see how much the American citizens will allow and eventually accept as the new "norm" set by our elected officials and big business executives! Lying politicians are the root of all the problems of the American people, telling women that they no longer have control of their decisions of when to give birth? The Supreme Court has become a tool of these same elected "Lying Politicians " who placed them in their lifetime positions! Their should be a better system of government that after elected, would truly be the voice of the people, working for the people, and willing to overcome their greed for personal wealth, and power that does nothing to support the needs and welfare of the American people.
