There is no dental coverage available for all veterans. We should all be able to access that benefit.

I believe right now is the housing because it is hard for families to be able to afford rent on 100% disability. if that is all they getting especially if they say you are unemployable. the state disability isn't that much either. the va loan only allows you so much based on what you make which alot of the time isn't enough to get the right size of house that you need for your family. There is way to many homeless VETs out there. I also believe all vets even with 10% should be able to get dental, it shouldn't matter that you are not 100%. A lot pf the heath issues stem from poor dental up keep

Getting an accurate rating. There are so many vets that are 100% and have minor disabilities then there are vets with many major disabilities that are less than 100%. When I retired I didn’t know what sleep apnea was never heard of it. 6 months after retiring I was diagnosed by the VA as having severe sleep apnea and was denied disability because they said I have to prove I had it on active duty. Common sense says that I did because of how severe it is, but yet I was still denied.

I'd love to see more opportunities for disabled veterans within the federal government. That is, identifying more opportunities and simplifying the application process.

From the Comments I have seen here, most Veterans are not aware of their Rights. The best thing is to contact you County Veterans Service Office, they should be able to help you with most of these questions. Check for them on the internet through you County Directory.

One more thing...contact the DVA (Disabled Vets) and tell them what is happening, you don't have to join, they are concerned about us and will check into it.

The biggest issue veterans face is the lack of support for knowing how to access benefits. Sure we know that we earned certain benefits such as the GI Bill, VA Healthcare and other such resources, but it seems as there is red tape to cut through in order to access those benefits or as if they are not advocated on as much in purpose so that only those that seek out how to access the benefits they earned have access to them.

Suspended Profile
difficulty getting medical care through the va.. lack of dental care.. poor communication through the va and community care and even between other va facilities.. lack of care and concern from doctors through the va
Lack of VA concern for Veterans, substandard medical care from VA, poor referrals to community disgusting VA Management, lack of VA Medical staff actually supporting medical care and medical treatment. They obey the false edicts of politics over actual medical care that can be trusted.
