The interview
Just heard the breaking news that Sony has decided to pull "The Interview" movie completely. I think this is a bad idea: giving in to a ransom encourages others to try the same thing. What say you?

We look weak now. We need to stop backing down and submitting to other countries threats.

They should just "leak" the movie so we can at least enjoy the comedy of what a POS Kim Jong-Un is.

Sgt (Join to see) you are correct that Sony is a Japanese company, but Sony Pictures is an American company. Sony Pictures is a subsidiary of the Sony Company, but is fully operated in the US with it's own CEO and executive committee. I understand what you are saying in terms of Japan's proximity to NK...however, I don't think that ANY country should have to submit to another's threats.
The threats weren't made at Japan anyway. They were made at the US.

I believe Sony should thank North Korea for the free publicity and then show the movie as planned.

Another victory for north korea source imgur cbea3a 5393561
Pure cowardice. Sony had a chance to punch back by releasing the movie digitally, but they wouldn't even go that far. It would've been nice to see them give North Korea two giant middle fingers by releasing the movie to torrent sites in its full HD glory for free dissemination, but that was never realistic. A netflix, or similar streaming service, deal would have sent a message while negating any physical risk of movie watchers, but apparently Sony doesn't have the balls to do it. I really hope North Korea gets some kind of blow back from this, either from the U.S. government or anywhere. I'm not picky.

Good points, SGT (Join to see). I hope we get to see the movie somewhere - on DVD or on a streaming service. And North Korea needs to be sent a message ... something other than the one they're receiving now --- namely, that cyber bullying and threats are successful ways to manipulate events in the US.

We disagree on some things, but if we both agree on this then I think overall we'd get along fine.

Lol, yeah, I remember some of the disagreements in the Matine Corps between guys. Especially on a year long deployment. But we all remained good friends and brothers.

We will not negotiate with terrorists!
We will trade a traitor for terrorists.
We will comply with what terrorists demand.

It has been one heck of a year.

This administrations actions looks like a block of instruction on how to bring down a Super Power like the USA. It's the lowest point out country has been in my life time.
