What do you think of the new Army PT uniform?

I've seen the Soldiers wearing the black and gold uniforms for pt recently but only a few. The Army seems to have this problem with uniform changes, I'm a little annoyed. Although I think the current PT's are bland, I don't feel like the Army should be shelling out all this money for flair. It's the same uniform, different color scheme, anyone else annoyed by this? I feel if they were going to make new PTs they could have changed them up besides color. Not to mention I really hate the LS turtle neck. Also, does anyone know the wear date for these new PT's?

The link attached below provides the most current info I've seen regarding the APFU.

This is the briefing provided to senior Army leaders regarding the new Army Physical Fitness Uniform. I am no longer in the Army but as a former Soldier, I really like what they’ve done. Traditional...

Absolutely the WORST! The shorts are made for a man who has no difference between the width of his waist and hips. Women just look like our waists are tiny but our hips are enormous. I hate that lol.

They remind me of coolots from middle school. (I was such a dork.)
Its one of those things that I just shrug my shoulders at. In my opnion we're too busy trying to keep pace with the other services PT uniforms. All I see it as more money I have to spend and to be honest the clothing allowance doesnt really cover what we need in regards to maintenance and purchases
Anyone who has been in a while will recall the odd PT's. They were horrible. The PT's we wear now are not bad but could use improvements. The shirt should be a lighter weight and the winters are horrible also. I civilian gear is much more breathable in the cold weather. It really won't be much of a waste of money. They will just phase them in as they did the ASU and ACU. I hope they call it the APU.
I think new materials are the way to go when I joined 4 years ago the NG gave me a set of PTs for going to RSP drills while waiting for basic. These PT's were of modern breathable, wicking materials that I would be happy to wear anywhere. So if the new Army style ends up more like that I am willing to accept my initial issue and will pay out of pocket to buy extra shorts and tops.
New materials a good idea? Definitely.
New color? Meh, last time I checked all black is the worst thing to wear outdoors in the summertime.
Heat casualties galore!

Sir if I had to guess the owner of the company that is making the new uniform is a newly retired General or a soon to be retired General will soon be joining the board of directors of the company.
