So what is the current consensus on military recruitment TV commericals? The footage is great though they should show more in the weeds working personal. Other then that the voice over seems to need work. Thank God the navy got rid of the, "global force for good." The old 70s and 80s commercials were awesome.

I think commercials won't necessarily fix the recruitment problem. What's hurting the military in general is the fact that a lot of the people in the 18-24 yr. old range (especially in the US) simply don't qualify based on health issues (obesity and fitness being the primary reasons).

I'm still waiting to climb a mountain and fight a dragon with my NCO sword... TBH I don't really know anyone who joined based off of a commercial.. If I had to cite one marketing thing that worked for me it was the salty ass D.I. "We didn't promise you a rose garden." poster... The bigger issue with recruiting with this method is that most millennial's today don't subscribe to cable, they use the various streaming services, youtube, hulu , kodi etc etc to watch what they like and only what they like.
